Johnson & Johnson
Care to Recycle

Johnson & Johnson’s Care to Recycle campaign was created after a study showed that Americans lack awareness and knowledge about what bathroom products can be recycled. To support the campaign, we created a variety of content, including videos, social gifs, and a comic strip. I also wrote two jingles, but more on those when you scroll down.

ROLE: Script/Creative Direction/Songwriting

The Comic

Max Milk Jug and Whitney Water Bottle always seem to get recycled…but will Sophie Shampoo and Mason Mouthwash make it to the recycling bin where they belong? The strip references those jingles I was talking about.

The Jingles

Okay, so about those jingles. I wrote these and had my good friend Eliot Bronson sing them for demo purposes.

They were rejected. That happens. No big deal. But I'm proud of them because writing a catchy song about recycling in the bathroom is not an easy task. The first one, which the client felt needed "more of a hook," still sticks in my head.
